Emotions and their expression
“Emotions unexpressed are stronger, plus I am very sensitive. I am pleased when my body matches my emotions. It doesn’t happen all that often, almost never when sad. I did not cry when my father or my mother died. The grief and pain went on and on. If only I could have cried. In movies, it looks like such a relief to cry. Happiness is easier. It sometimes explodes out in laughter and jumping. When I am comfortable, it is fairly easy to smile. Frustration, anger, disappointment become biting and the occasional wry smile. This is the limit of bodily expression of my feelings. Pathetic.”
