Movement Difficulties
“When I first started to type, I had already spent in excess of eleven years with no effective means of communication. I couldn’t nod, speak, or use sign language effectively because of my “dyspraxia.” . . . Dyspraxia is best defined in laymen’s terms as an inability to make one’s muscles do what one wants without great difficulty or assistance. Sometimes it makes me “freeze in my tracks” or “forget” how to move, walk, chew, or swallow.”
