Getting needs met--initiation
“I also sometimes have trouble being able to communicate my needs to those around me. It has been a struggle I have dealt with my entire life. I am ashamed to say this, however I too have thrown many a tantrum to get my needs met. This entire process can be emotionally draining on everyone involved. I am now seeing that when I need something I must communicate it, in other words by using a verbal prompt such as two basic words of “need help.” These types of verbal prompts are my way of getting a reaction out of my friends and family.”
